A Benefit for the Restoration of The Historic Tileston School Join us in The Upper Room 1871 for a unique fundraising event to help provide an elevator and handicapped access to the main building, and ADA upgrades to existing restroom facilities of the historic Tileston School; Wilmington’s first public school. Once abandoned by the City of Wilmington and New Hanover County Public Schools, the Historic Tileston School has been reborn as a vital, functional part of the historic downtown  community.
